Induction Task 2: Treatment
Treatment
Genre:
Horror
Duration:
5mins maximum
Summary of
programme idea: This short film will be a horror based in Leyton Sixth Form
College. It will be different to other performances because although it is some
of our first attempts at doing a short film we will try to make appealing to a
wide range of the audience. We also make it clear who the main characters will
be throughout the film. Although there will be no dialogue viewers will be able
to tell what’s going on by the actions of the characters and the emotions on
their faces. To show emotions we will try to do as many medium close ups/ close
ups as possible. The short film is about
a boy who was once bullied by a few girls then they turn up at his school but
on the wrong day and wrong time. Gradually the boy who was bullied kills each
character one by one mysteriously until he tries to kill the last girl.
Fortunately she survives and kills him at the end.
Audience: As
this is a horror it may not be suitable for anyone under the age of 15 as it may
hold violence and vicious scenes throughout the film. Therefore the only
viewers who will be able to view this film will be anyone 15 and above.
Comparable
programmes: Although in pretty little
liars the audience is still unaware who the killer is and why they are
doing this. Our film may be seen as similar because as there is one or more
than one killer it is unaware just like our short film. Viewers will be unaware
of who the killer is until the very end.
Equipment:
Cameras (for filming and taking pictures)
Actors/
Production team: Desiree, Anzar, Shifau, Blessing and Malvina.
Induction task 2 - Recces
RA/ Recce
BTEC
First extended certificate in creative digital Media production.
- This is an examination of each location that will take place during our short film and the risk assessment.
Leyton sixth
form front gates:
- Cameras could be left outside and therefore any one will have access to them. To make sure this doesn’t happen we shall make sure we have the camera at all times.
- The camera could drop causing the lens to break. If the lens is broken we will not be able to film our short film unless we are able to get another camera in time for the films due date.
- There may be staff/students passing at any time during our shots therefore we will be careful whilst walking around especially whoever will be filming at that point.
Alfred
Hitchcock block:
- As we will be in the media department there may be other cameras as other students may also be completing their work in the same area as us. Therefore there will be many equipment’s out such as, cameras, cables ext. To avoid any accidents cables must be in a place where no one will be able to trip over them.
School Cage:
- There may be students outside whilst we’re filming meaning, they may be playing out with footballs or basketballs so we must be careful to no bump into them as they can break the camera.
