Task 1D - Textual analysis double page spered and snapchat article

proposal/ legal and moral/ brief

Proposal

For both of my articles I am going to talk about street art and graffiti in east London and how street art has changed the way the youth of east London now look at art because of street art and graffiti. In my first article I want to talk about how street art and graffiti has become more mainstream in media. In my second articles I am going to talk about how street art has changed the way the youth of east London think about art.

The articles that I am going to publish will inform the youth of east London and also maybe teachers secondary and collages as they are around them a lot so it may be helpful for them also. The article will also educate the youth of east London as they will have more of an insight of what goes on in street art and graffiti in east London I also think that this article will educate people who want to learn more about the street art and graffiti scene. The articles that I am making I will make sure that they provide a service to the people who are reading the article as they will be able to look at other articles there are that are related to street art when they read my own article due to the platform that it will be on which is E-zines. My second article will be published on a different platform from the first as am I going to publish it as a double page spread which would be online and can be accessed via an app/website link. It will also be up for one week as that is as long I want it up. I want my second articles to be published as a snapchat story on the news section of the mobile app. This way I will be able to connect with a larger group of teens as the mobile app has millions of teenagers visiting the site. The article will be up for only 24 hours as that is the way snapchat works.

As I talked about in the beginning when I go into much more detail with my first article I will talk about how famous and well known street artist like Banksy and Cartrian have changed the way the youth have thought about art be that in a positive or negative way. With my second article when I also go into much more detail I will talk about how bands like rudimental have used street art for their album covers for their band's first album and because of that they have made some graffiti much more popular.

I will be taken all the picture myself and I will also take all of my own photos and video then it comes to the second article. This is because it is going to be on snapchat and with snapchat you need some sort of picture or video to keep the audience interested so they swipe up and read the article. The cost will not be a lot as I am going to use the collages equipment when I want to film or take picture and also if I am not able to use to the collages equipment I will use my friends equipment.

legal and moral

I do my my articles I will have to make sure that the pictures that are use in my articles make sure are taken by me because in the brief it states that I have to have original pictures this is also important because if I were to use someone else's pictures they could have grounds to sue me which I do not want. i'll have to also make sure When I take the pictures that no one who doesn't want to be in the picture is in it as they have not given me permission to use the picture in any articles so if someone was to found out are used a picture in my article without telling them they will also have grounds to sue me.

When I do start to make my article I will have to make sure that all of my work is written by me and not taken from the Internet or from someone else's work as that is plagiarism and which is also illegal to do so if I was caught doing that someone will also have right to sue me and I would most likely lose as that is not my work but if it turned out to be an accident and we have some similar phrasing. or some similar words we use I'm not sure if they'll have much ground to sue me. To stop that from happening in the first place my teacher said we have to upload our finish articles and adaptations to Moodle as there is a software on Moodle which catches people plagiarising other peoples in the first place work.
Brief
The articles that I am going to publish will inform the youth of east London and also maybe teachers secondary and colleges as they are around them a lot so it may be helpful for them also. The article will also educate the youth of east London as they will have more of an insight of what goes on in street art and graffiti in east London I also think that this article will educate people who want to learn more about the street art and graffiti scene. Task 1a example of adverts,List of props, costume and makeup, Recce,Prop/equipment/costume list and booking sheets,Script,Risk assessment

This is an advert from Cadbury's. I feel this will help our group as this advert is about promoting their chocolate which is what our advert is going to be about. It is also important because Cadbury's have decided to use a gorilla playing the drum as it is very random and unique.

This is another advert from Cadbury's chocolate. I feel that this advert will help our group as this advert is also targeting at children. Cadbury's have used two children moving their eyebrows to make a funny approach. This advert is different from the other cadbury's advert but yet again it is random and unique which makes the advert fun for children; which cadbury's was trying to do.

This is an advert from Flash. Flash has made a humorous advert using a dog. They have made this funny approach by making the dog sing which is different than other adverts. I feel that this advert could help us because they have used a dog out of randomly. We tend to have a funny concept towards our advert than having a specific product.

Costume

As there is only one actor that is used in the advert all together, the clothing that he will be wearing will be casual, so when the audience watch the advert they will feel as if they can relate to the advert as the boy is going to come back from school and change his clothing in order to get more comfortable and then go do his homework.

Props

  • Need the kitchen table and this is going to replace the area where the boy in the advert goes and does his homework
  • The chocolate bar to replicate the chocolate bar that the boy will be eating. We cannot use a brand of chocolate that already exists therefore we are going to buy a normal bar of chocolate and will make our own chocolate wrapper on Photoshop which we will place on the original bar of chocolate to make it look as if it our/new brand
  • Be using the park in order to film a scene
  • Pen, paper/book in order to replicate a scenario of the boy in the advert doing his homework which will have some writing on it replicating homework such as a math problem.

There will be no makeup/hair that will be used in this advert.

Recce

Prop/equipment/costume list and booking sheets

Equpiment / Not booking out a camera and why

  • The only piece of equipment that I will need for taking my photographs will be my phone camera as I am not going to book a camera from the college to take photographs as I feel this is unnessacry and a waste of time as I can take very good quality photos with my own phone and can use it in my own convience and not worry about deadline in the content of when I need to give the camera back
  • Need a lead in order for me to connect my phone upto a camera to get the photographs of my phone if I am not able to email the photos to myself

Costume

  • There is no specific dress code for my photographs as the people that will be in the photgraphs will be people who I do not know perosnally therefore I will not be able to ask them to wear certain clothing for example I am going to go to a doctors surgery in order to take photographs of a sitauion of where the reader can go to for help and there is an area in the suregy where there is a vairety of different leaflets that are avalaible for different things such as depression, anxiety, diabities

Group roles/camera booking

Group roles

  • Director/camera - Desiree and shifau
  • No one will be in charge of the lighting as we are going to use natural lighting and not use any artificial lights as we do not have that available to use and it will not be convenient in the areas (which are the kitchen area and a park) that we are filming in the content of carrying it around/safety of carrying around the equipment.
  • Editing - Hamerdeep
  • Desirees Mum - Just mention one phrase
  • Marcus (Desirees brother) - Main character playing the role of the boy doing his homework. His name in the advert will be Brain.
We will not be booking for a camera in order to film as a member of our group have their own personal camera from which we are going to use to film our advert.

Script

Script for Chocologs advert
Scene 1:
‘Mother’ is introduced to the audience, but the person’s voice is only heard. The audience cannot see the speaker.
‘Mother’: “Brian, come and do your homework”
Brian sits at the table and is stuck with his maths homework as he never listens at school when he is being taught. The audience can see by the look on his face he looks like he is struggling and confused.
He then starts to speak in his mind
‘Brian’: “I wish I listened and didn’t fall in sleep in class today. Now what am I going to do?
He starts to stress and he then put’s his face into his hands.
‘Brian’: “If only I could remember the name of that cool new chocolate that everyone was talking about at school. Apparently it makes you so smart…. Well that’s what Sean said.”
Brian is thinking really hard of what the name of the chocolate is.
‘Brian’:  “What was the name? Chocofrogs? Chocoblogs Oh wait….. CHOCOLOGS!!!!!”
The audience can see that Brian’s face has lighted up and a lightbulb appears on top of his head.
As he says the name, a chocolog bar falls out of nowhere on top of his head.
‘Brian’: “ow”
He then realises that it is a chocolog and takes a bite.
Scene 2:
He all of a sudden gets a rush of energy and completes all his homework.  He then starts doing a funny dance around the kitchen.
He then teleports from the house to a park and then attempts to play on the pull up’s facilities, cartwheels and running around the park crazy.
The scene changes to Brian saying the slogan.
‘Brian’: “Chocologs for Clever clogs be the first one to clever away” He then starts to throw the chocolate bar at the camera.
The camera changes to the text screen.
‘Narrator’: “Chocolog for clever clogs, the only chocolate that makes children smart”
The advert ends with Brian running away shouting.

Risk assessment

Kitchen

  • Make sure that the area is tidy before filming in order to make sure that there is not health and safety issues such as tripping over something that is on the floor
  • The crew are cautious of where the equipment is set up and can see the set up clearly as they do not tumble over cords/tripods if used
The walk to the park/ park scene
  • Be careful when filming with the camera in public as it is a very expensive piece of equipment
  • Keep the cord that is provided with the camera round your neck in order to prevent it falling and provide extra support when using it to film
  • Be cautious when holding the camera
