when I was first making my poster for the reggae competition I was not sure what to do. my first idea was to do a poster with the colours of Jamaica but I did not think that would be a very good idea as reggae music is not just Jamaican music and reggae is music the whole world could enjoy so it would be wrong. Although I didn't use this poster I did use the same pictures in my final poster but I did change and move things around. unlike the people in my class i didn't think i needed to add a lot of colour to tell a story about reggae. i used reggae greats like yellowman, peter tosh, toots and the maytals and many more. i did this because reggae is not just one man it is a group of people and communities that made it what it is today.
what i like about my poster is that it shows all the other genres of music that helped make reggae like dancehall, mento, ska, rocksteady, jazz, root and rhythm and blues.
Good Shifau - you have provided evidence in your making of your poster and using creating technical elements using desktop tools.
ReplyDelete2B.P5 (Pass) You have created appropriate graphics for a digital media product that adequately communicate the intended message of a Reggae Poster Competition brief.
In order for you to push this to distinction level you must explain how you have designed your poster and used tools to design technical elements to communicate meaning & messages. How does the audience know that this poster’s purpose has been designed to celebrate reggae music. How have you successfully designed your poster to suit the brief?
Shifau - your blog is still very unorganised after many discussions about this. Your posts should be titled with each task and labelled correctly to the unit of work - this unit is unit 13 Graphic Design.
ReplyDeleteAs you blog is unorganised it appears that you are missing work and this means you will not be able to re-draft the following:
- Task 1.A
- Task 1.B
- Task 2.B (poster)
Upload these by Friday 10th March
